EDUCATION brings new ideas and new entrants

Our educational activities in INNOVATIONZ can be divided into two strands

BASICS

Firstly, we have courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level which teach principles and give starting points. Hopefully in this way we contribute to providing work-ready graduates. The main vehicle is:

Mgmt 305/ ENGGEN 405 Innovation and New Product Development, which is a cross-disciplinary course where students from different backgrounds work on real-life industry based projects. So far, the course has been beneficial to both students and industry. The students acquire a deeper experience and understanding of the processes and practices of professional NPD teams. The industry partners use the outputs developed during the course, and also gain a deeper appreciation of the students and their backgrounds; hence facilitating recruitment of new employees.

ADVANCED

Secondly, we have other more advanced and more specialised activities which connect to industry and practitioners, through workshops, networking, internships, PG engagements and specific consultancies.
