Hi Rainer, I was wondering if you may consider revising the way we are required
to subbmit the workbook. As with any design project there are always last
minute changes to be made. This inevitably results in a rush to submit and what
you may think is a trivial task (scanning) takes for ever. Also as we progress
in the assignment the work books may get large and scanning will take for ever.
I really have more pressing things to do than wait for a scanner and spend
half an hour submitting. Im sure others feel this way but may be afraid to tell
you. (P.s I gaurantee if you ask the class if they have a problem with this
system only a few will tell you maybe they are afraid you will mark them
harshly!!)

Thanks for your consideration

Dear Student X,

Thanks for bringing this up. I have a range of points that I can make about this (e.g. using a digital camera instead of a scanner), but I need to rush out to a company soon, and I have not enough time to write it all up.

I suggest I get back to this in Tuesday's lecture, and we'll have a discussion in the class about it. I definitely don't want to 'screw' you by making unreasonable requests or setting counter-productive requirements. Please think about alternatives for this discussion - I'd be interested to hear your views.

Have a great weekend.

Kind regards

Rainer
