Styling

Posted by Chris Chambers at May 09. 2008

Scope for styling changes:  You are welcome - but not obliged - to change the styling, within the constraints of the target installation conditions (i.e. free standing or floor+wall or floor+ceiling mount, with or without glass wall attached).  Even without any effort to do so, you'll probably find that the design constraints of Corian will force you to soften the look up a bit.  If you want to go further, be aware of the "look" of other Felton items they'd hope to sell together with this, such as towel rail, sink mixer etc which as Mark puts it are "generally pretty boxy".  On the other hand part of what Felton are looking for in getting involved with us on this is solutions they wouldn't have thought of themselves, so feel free to go to town on it if you want to.  Just be aware that a)  that's a high-risk strategy - off-the-wall designs are more likely to be big successes than "safe" ones, but they're also more likely to be big failures, and b) putting lots of effort into the appearance doesn't allow you to ignore the manufacturability issues.
