S9 How are products made? 14/05

This studio session involves disassembly and learning about manufacturing techniques.

The first part of the session encourages you to practice some basic drawing skills..going through orthographic projections and sketch isometrics, of simple shapes.

The second part of the session is a disassembly exercise of some  common domestic objects

which you then draw as parts in Full Size.

This is a useful rehearsal for skills you may need in your team furniture designs...the next stage.

There will also be some discussion of materials and manufacturing processes led by Chris.
